Worth a look today

  • Mobile conversion fell from 1.9% to 1.5%. Desktop held. Check the new checkout banner on phones.
  • The Overshirt in Sand sold 11. Only 38 left in M and L.
  • Nothing else is outside your normal range.

Yesterday's sales, orders and traffic against your normal. Only the changes worth a look are flagged. Built from Shopify and Google Analytics.

How we estimate the time saved: About 15 minutes a day opening Shopify and GA4 and comparing with last week. The note takes 2 minutes to read.

Who it is for

Owners who check four dashboards every morning and still worry they missed something. Also small teams that should all see the same numbers.

have all the important metrics combined in a paragraph format and presented as a summary every morning.

The skill to save

Skill
Name: Morning store briefing

Every morning, for yesterday:

1. From Shopify: sales, orders, average order value, top 5 products by units, refunds.
2. From GA4: sessions, conversion rate by device, revenue share by channel.
3. Compare each number with the same weekday over the last 4 weeks. That is "normal".
4. Write "Worth a look": only changes outside normal, 3 points max. Each names the number, why it matters and one next step. If nothing is unusual, say so in one line.
5. Flag any best seller with less than [2] weeks of stock left.
6. Keep it to one screen. No charts unless asked.
7. Publish it as a team-only page called "Briefing [date]".

Only report numbers you read from the tools. If a number is missing, write "not available".

What stays under your control

  • Read only on your data. It cannot change anything in Shopify or GA4.
  • You choose who sees the page: the team, or anyone with the password.
  • Numbers come from the tools only. Missing data says "not available".

Good to know

Shopify and GA4 never match exactly. The skill uses Shopify for money and GA4 for traffic. That is the usual split.

Ad spend and return on ad spend need Google Ads and Meta Ads. Those connectors are not in Homla yet.
