DocsAgents
Tools and approvals
You choose each tool an agent can use, whether it may write, and which writes wait for a person.
Pick its tools#
In the agent's settings, under Tools and approvals, add each tool and choose:
- Read
- Looks things up, changes nothing.
- Read & write
- Can also change things. Writes ask first unless set to Auto.
You cannot give an agent more access than you have yourself.
Approvals per action#
For each write action, choose:
- Ask first
- The default. Waits for a person in Homla or Slack.
- Auto
- Runs without asking.
Start with everything on Ask first. Switch an action to Auto once you trust how the agent uses it.
How approving works, and who can approve: Approvals.
Skills and memory#
- Agents can use the skills you add to them.
- Agents can read company memory, but never write to it.
Code and GitHub#
An agent can work on code in GitHub:
- Connect the GitHub AppAn admin connects the Homla GitHub App once for the workspace.
- Pick reposIn the agent's settings, pick its repos and turn on Clone and push code.
- Agents never push to the main branch.
- Opening a pull request waits for approval.
- People can call an agent from a pull request or issue comment with
@wedge <agent>.
Extra abilities#
Admins can turn on web access, shell commands, git, secrets and a list of allowed websites for an agent. These only work with the Claude Code engine. Leave them off unless the job needs them.
