Memory

Company memory holds what your team knows: decisions, client facts, how-tos and rules. Every AI on the team can search it.

How it works#

Memory fills from your team's AI conversations. When something is worth keeping, your AI saves it. Next time anyone's AI needs it, it searches memory first.

Try it:

Ask your AI
Remember that Acme's invoices go to [email protected], not to Paul.
What do we know about Acme?

What gets saved#

Signals
Decisions, commitments, action items, risks, open questions. They point to where they came from.
Knowledge
Profiles, how-tos, references and notes.
Insights
Patterns your AI noticed across several sources.
Rules
Company rules every AI follows. See below.

Each item is linked to the people, companies, projects and tools it mentions. Items are never edited in place. A newer item replaces an older one, and the history stays.

Company rules#

A rule is something every AI on the team must follow, like "Never send a client a link to GitHub." Ask your AI to save one:

Ask your AI
Save a company rule: client messages are shown to me before they go out.
  • Hard rules are attached to every session, in every AI app.
  • Soft rules with a trigger appear only when your AI uses a matching tool.

Rules a person saves apply at once. Rules and insights an AI saves on its own are held for review first.

From a terminal, wedge policies prints your rules, and wedge init writes the hard ones into a project for your coding agent.

The Memory page#

Open Memory in the sidebar. It shows what your company's AI remembers.

  • Knowledge: search everything, filter by type and domain, open Details to see sources and links.
  • Entities: the people, companies, projects and tools memory knows, with what is linked to each.
  • Activity: a log of what was saved and removed.

You cannot type new items in the dashboard. Memory is written by your AI.

Remove an item#

Admins can press Remove on an item. It disappears from search for good. It is retired, never deleted, and the removal is logged.

Who sees memory#

  • Every member sees all company memory. There is no per-role limit on memory today.
  • Guests see memory only if the host gave them Read or Read and write. See Guests.
  • Agents can read memory but never write it.

Do not ask your AI to save passwords, keys or card numbers in memory. Everyone on the team can read it. Connect tools instead, see Connecting tools.

Limits#

  • Up to 300 saves a day per workspace.
  • One item's main line is up to 300 characters. Its body can be much longer.
