Connect ChatGPT

ChatGPT takes Homla as a custom connector. You give it the connector URL and sign in.

What the Homla app shows#

For ChatGPT, the app shows one general step today, the same one it shows for other apps:

  1. Add the connectorWherever ChatGPT keeps its connectors, add a new one of type HTTP (sometimes called "remote" or "streamable HTTP") and give it this URL. It opens your browser to sign in the first time it is called.

  2. Sign inApprove the connection on the Homla sign-in page. See what it shows.

Where to find it in ChatGPT#

ChatGPT changes these menus often, and it decides who may add a custom connector. In short:

  • Custom connectors live in ChatGPT's settings, under apps or connectors.
  • On some plans you first turn on developer mode in the advanced settings.
  • On business plans, a workspace admin may need to allow custom connectors.

If you cannot find the option, check ChatGPT's own help for "custom connectors". Homla cannot change what ChatGPT allows on your plan.

When ChatGPT asks for the authentication type, pick OAuth. Homla registers ChatGPT on its own, so leave Client ID and Secret empty.
