Connect it#

In Homla, open Connectors, then Microsoft Teams. The Setup guide button walks you through the same steps, with fields to paste into.

Who can do it. A Microsoft 365 work or school account (personal outlook.com accounts are not supported). One Microsoft connection covers both Outlook and Teams, so connecting Microsoft Teams also connects Outlook. Some permissions need an admin: if your organization blocks user consent, a Global Administrator, Cloud Application Administrator or Application Administrator must approve Homla once for everyone.

  1. Open Microsoft Teams in HomlaIn Homla, open Connectors, then Microsoft Teams, then Connect. Connect for yourself to act as you, or as the company connection if an admin shares it with the team. Open it.
  2. Sign in with your work accountMicrosoft asks you to pick an account. Choose the work account whose mail, calendar and Teams Homla should use.

A personal Microsoft account (outlook.com, hotmail.com) fails with an error: only work or school accounts are supported.

  3. Review the permissions, then AcceptMicrosoft lists every permission for Outlook and Teams together, because both share this connection. They are delegated permissions: Homla acts as you and reaches only your own mailbox, calendar, teams and chats. Click Accept. People with a read-only role in Homla grant the same permissions; Homla hides the write tools from them and refuses writes from read tools.
  4. If Microsoft says "Need admin approval"Your organization lets only admins approve apps, or a permission needs an admin (Teams channel messages, ChannelMessage.Read.All, always does). Send the approval request, or ask an admin to open Homla in the Entra admin center under Enterprise applications, then Permissions, and click Grant admin consent. Then connect again. Open it.
  5. Check the connectionBack in Homla, the page shows the connected account. Ask your assistant "Which Teams am I in?" to try it. If a tool later answers reconnect_needed, the sign-in expired or was revoked: connect again.

Common errors: AADSTS65001 or AADSTS90094 mean admin consent is missing; Graph 403 on a Teams channel means your account is not a member of that team.

What your AI can do#

These are the actions Homla gives your AI. Your role decides which ones you get. Write actions are a dry run until confirmed, see Approvals and dry runs.

Read#

Looks things up, never changes anything.

Write#

Creates or changes things, as the account owner.

ActionWhat it does
teams_channel_sendPost a new message to a channel as the connected user.
teams_channel_replyReply to a channel message.
teams_chat_sendSend a message to an existing chat (1:1 or group).
teams_requestMake an arbitrary Microsoft Graph call for Teams endpoints the typed tools don't cover.

Disconnect it#

In Homla, open the account menu on the tool's page and choose Disconnect. Anyone it was shared with loses access at once. To cut it off on the tool's side too:

To cut Homla off, disconnect in Homla, or open My Apps (or My Account, then Organizations / app permissions), find Homla and choose Manage your application, then Revoke permissions. An admin can remove Homla for everyone under Enterprise applications in the Entra admin center. Revoking ends the connection for Outlook and Teams together.
