Connect it#

In Homla, open Connectors, then Google Calendar. The Setup guide button walks you through the same steps, with fields to paste into.

Who can do it. Any person with a Google account (Gmail or Google Workspace). You connect your own account; Homla never uses a shared key for Google Calendar. On Google Workspace, your admin may have to allow Homla first.

  1. Open Google Calendar in HomlaIn Homla, open Connectors, then Google Calendar. Under Accounts, click the + tile (Connect Google account). Open it.
  2. Pick your own Google accountGoogle opens its sign-in page. Choose the account whose calendar Homla should read, usually your work address. If the right account is not listed, click Use another account.
  3. Review and allow the permissionsGoogle lists what Homla asks for: See the list of your calendars (calendar.calendarlist.readonly) and See the events on calendars you own (calendar.events.owned.readonly), both read-only, and your email address. Homla cannot create, move or delete events. Leave every box ticked and click Continue. Unticking a box connects the account without that access, and the tools that need it answer "hasn't granted access yet".
  4. Check the account is connectedBack in Homla, your address now shows under Accounts as connected. It is your own connection: each teammate connects their own Google account the same way, and nobody sees your calendar unless you share the account with them from this card. Open it.
  5. If it failsWrong account: disconnect it in Homla and connect again with the right one. Error 400 admin_policy_enforced / access blocked by your admin: your Google Workspace admin must allow Homla under Security > API controls (link below). Google hasn't verified this app: the app is still in Google's review, click Advanced then continue only if your admin told you to, otherwise ask for access. "hasn't granted Calendar access yet": reconnect with every box ticked. A calendar someone shared with you shows no events: Homla only reads calendars you own. Open it.

What your AI can do#

These are the actions Homla gives your AI. Your role decides which ones you get. Write actions are a dry run until confirmed, see Approvals and dry runs.

Read#

Looks things up, never changes anything.

ActionWhat it does
google-calendar_calendars_listList the calendars this person can see, with the id to pass as calendar_id elsewhere.
google-calendar_events_listList events in a time window, in start order, with recurring events expanded into their actual occurrences.
google-calendar_event_getGet one event by id, with attendees, their responses and the join link.

Disconnect it#

In Homla, open the account menu on the tool's page and choose Disconnect. Anyone it was shared with loses access at once. To cut it off on the tool's side too:

To cut Homla off, open your Google account's Third-party connections, pick Homla and click Delete all connections, or click Disconnect on the account card in Homla. Connecting again later asks for consent again.
